Revs. Robert (Bob) & Vicki Bush
Bob and Vicki met in Virginia while working on the staff of a thriving church in the Shenandoah Valley. They were married in 1982 and began their ministry together by helping to plant churches and outreach ministries throughout Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia.
They were founding pastors of Jubilee Christian Center, a dynamic multi-cultural Word of Faith church located in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area (1985-1990). This church was a strong mission-oriented church that substantially supported missionaries around the world. While pastoring, Bob and Vicki began taking short-term mission trips to Jamaica where they taught in Bible training centers, ministered in local churches and led work teams to help build a training center and home for street boys. All the while, they modeled and ignited a passion in their congregation for global missions.
Bob and Vicki increasingly felt a stirring in their hearts to become full-time overseas missionaries. They turned the church over to capable leaders and moved to Costa Rica, Central America, in 1991 with their youngest daughter Jessica. The attended Spanish language school and grew to love the people and the nation of Costa Rica and made that their home and ministry base for ten years. In the middle of their tenure in Costa Rica, they moved to The Dominican Republic for one year. It was there that they legally established three works: FCF of The Dominican Republic, an international humanitarian work and a Bible training center.
The Bushes returned to the United States in 2005 and set up the UVMI ministry base in Florida. They have and will continue to minister in Central and South America, the Caribbean nations and the U.S., and wherever else the Lord leads. The fields are truly ripe for harvest, and Robert and Vicki continue to say, “Here am I, Lord. Send me.”
The heart of Father God for no person to be lost, and a strong sense of calling to live out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19), continue to compel Bob and Vicki to move forward and shape the impact of Unreached Villages Ministries Int’l (UVMI).
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying : “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said,, “Here am I! Send me.” And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8
